Man arrested on possession, obstructing a peace officer, says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

MONDAY

At 8:43 a.m., Richard Rios, 31, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, attempted destruction of evidence, obstructing a peace officer, crossing diagonally at an intersection and walking the wrong way in traffic after deputies initiated a consensual stop near Stewart and Lee Streets. Bail was set at $3,850.

At 10:30 a.m., a 54-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of breach of peace after deputies responded to reports of a man disrupting customers at the Carson Street Wells Fargo Bank. Bail was set at $500.

At 9:45 p.m., a 64-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 100 block of Travis Drive. Bail was set at $3,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
