February 4, 1938 – July 6, 2017




Mary Kealey Seguin, a 37 year resident of Carson City, was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, she was the last surviving daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel S. Kealey.


She attended school in Newport Vermont and after graduating from Newport High School, she furthered her education at Dartmouth University. She then started her career with New England Bell Telephone Company and later transferred to Nevada Bell in Reno, Nevada. She retired as a District Manager.


In Mary’s free time she would volunteer for numerous programs and for community services in need. She was a former President of the Carson City Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Seguin was also the former Co-Executive Director for the Miss Nevada Scholarship Pageant, and later became a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children.


She was predeceased by her husband Eugene J. Seguin, Jr.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Arel,h her sisters Jane Postert, Patricia Buteau; and her darling daughter Jane M. Crawford.


Mary is survived by her loving son Rick Seguin (Julie); grandchildren, Joseph Crawford (Susan), Rick Crawford (Nicole), Mary Meyers (Gavin), Cade Seguin and Kealey Seguin; great grandchildren Brian, Christopher, Andrew, Kealey, Annabelle, Shawnnessy, Bailey, and Zoey; and son-in-law Daryl Crawford.


A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 5:30 pm at Walton’s Funeral Home, 1281 North Roop St, Carson City.


Catholic Mass will be celebrated at St Teresa’s of Avila Church, 3000 North Lompa Lane, Carson City on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 10:00 am.


A burial service will take place in Newport, Vermont at a later date.


Flowers can be sent to Walton’s Funeral Home or donations can be sent to your local Court Appointed Special Advocate program in Mary’s name.
