July 22 is half price kitten adoption day at Michael Hohl Honda, which is partnering with Catmandu to help homeless pets find owners.

The adoption event will be from noon to 4 p.m. at the car dealership, 2800 S. Carson St. Snacks and drinks will be provided along with the opportunity to win prizes.

Catmandu is a nonprofit cat and kitten rescue that provides a cage-free environment for cats until they are adopted.

Kittens are rescued from Carson and the surrounding communities, vaccinated, socialized, nursed back to health if they are sick, and placed in foster homes until they are eight weeks old. Then, they are brought to Catmandu where they wait for their new families.

Catmandu receives no government funding, relying on volunteer workers and donations. Courtesy of Michael Hohl Honda, the event will offer discounted adoptions of $35 per animal.

Fees include spay/neuter and deworming services in addition to current shots.

For information, call Michael Hohl Honda at 775-885-0400, or contact Catmandu at 775-297-3419 or www.catmanducc.org.
