Mound House man identified in fatal Woodfords wreck

Mound House resident Dave Scott Adams, 60, was identified as the victim in a fatal rollover that occurred July 3 near Woodfords in Alpine County.

Adams was eastbound on Airport Road in a 1995 Ford pickup about a mile from the intersection with Highway 89 at about 3:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The initial investigation indicated Adams drove the pickup off the paved portion of the road onto the right shoulder.

The pickup went down a steep dirt embankment and overturned onto its roof, which resulted in Adams death.
