Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Laura June (Buckner) Pirkle passed away on July 12, 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Laura was born in Cherry Creek, Colorado to Vachel and Elizabeth (Betty) Buckner and lived in Cherry Creek, Larkspur, Limon, and Castle Rock, until moving to Fallon with her family in 1963.
She is preceded in death by her husband Carroll E. Pirkle; her brother Jack Buckner; and daughter-in-law Pamela Pirkle; and late wife of son Ken.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Jean Winkler and brother Ed Brooks, both of Colorado; sons Ken and Gary of Fallon, and Randy (Carole) of Arizona; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Laura will always be remembered by her family for her love and devotion, and especially her tireless help assisting her children and grandchildren.
At Laura’s request no formal service is planned.
She will be laid to rest at Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.
