Sweeping valleys and towering mountains can be seen on canvas at the Carson City Art Gallery, where artist Kathleen Osborne Flanagan, known for her paintings of Nevada scenes and animals, is displaying work. Flanagan, an award-winning Carson City artist, is kicking off the first monthly Artist Reception and Exhibition 4-7 p.m. Friday at the gallery, 110 S. Curry St., where other artists are showing their work in a variety of mediums. Her work can be seen through March.
