A man and a woman are hospitalized with gunshot wounds after a double shooting in Topaz Ranch Estates on Monday evening.
At 6:46 p.m. the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a call from 1205 Slate Road in Topaz Ranch Estates in southern Douglas County for two victims with gunshot wounds.
Upon arrival, deputies found Michael Dixon, 50, with a life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported by air ambulance to Reno, according to Sgt. Bernadette Smith of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
A second victim, Cathy Clark, 60, also was located with a serious gunshot wound. She was transported to Renown in Reno.
Both were residents of the Slate Road property. Their relationship still is being determined.
The investigation is continuing.
