Woman arrested on child neglect, says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 1:17 p.m., William Smith, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion felony failed annual verification and contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject at the Carson Street Days Inn. Bail was set at $5,500.

At 2:49 p.m., a 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of child neglect after deputies responded to reports of an intoxicated woman with a small child walking into traffic near Cinnabar and Agate. Bail was set at $2,500.

FRIDAY

At 12:30 a.m., a 22-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a business check at the Market Street Dotty’s Casino. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 3:57 a.m., a Reno man was arrested on suspicion of fictitious registration, expired registration, no insurance, non-resident driver’s license and two counts of failure to appear after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Carson and Rhodes Streets. Bail was set at $3,658.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
