The readers’ voting, the numerous hours of counting and notifying winners all takes time, but the hard work is worth it as the LVN announces the 2017 winners in today’s newspaper.
The tabulations have been completed for the many categories in the 2017 Best of Fallon, an annual program that salutes the best businesses, individuals and places to go in our area. This will be the most comprehensive list of the top winners in our area.
More than 24,000 online votes were cast, almost tripled from the 2016 voting.
LVN Editor Steve Ranson said the Best of Fallon program is not affiliated with the Fallon Chamber Commerce or Churchill Economic Development Authority recognition programs. While their voting comes from members, Ranson said the community and LVN’s readers select Best of Fallon based on the different categories.
Although many businesses and individuals have returned as winners in the Best of Fallon, this year’s list also includes newcomers and past winners ... and a few surprises.
A special edition in today’s LVN will announce winners and second-place finishers. Each winner will receive a plaque, and a special recognition breakfast will honor first-place recipients in May.
