The Carson City Symphony Chorus is beginning rehearsals for outdoor performances with the Carson City Symphony at the Governor’s Mansion on June 11 and in Genoa on July 4.

Rehearsals are at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Choral Room at Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman Road.

The program will include tunes from “The Lion King,” “Oklahoma!,” and “Les Miserables,” in addition to patriotic songs and more.

The chorus is open to all singers, high-school age and above, without audition and without fees. To join the group or for information, email Director Michael Langham at ccsingersdirector@gmail.com, or call the Symphony at 775-883-4154. Carson City Symphony Chorus is an expansion of the Carson Chamber Singers, which was founded in 1985 as the select choral group of the Carson City Symphony. It is supported in part by public funds through a grant from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, and by private donations.
