Transient held on battery charge, says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 11 a.m., a transient man was arrested on suspicion of battery after deputies responded to reports of a man hitting employees near the 700 block of Fleischmann Drive. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 12:27 p.m., a 20-year-old Dayton woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 5100 block of Grumman Drive. Bail was set at $500.

At 12:59 p.m., a 56-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 1000 block of North Carson Street. Bail was set at $600.

At 4:22 p.m., a 62-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of a man panhandling near the Carson Street Grocery Outlet. Bail was set at $500.

At 6:03 p.m., a 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court, suspended driver’s license and improper display of a license plate after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Long and Humbolt. Bail was set at $1,090.

At 7:55 p.m., a Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 800 block of 5th Street. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 8:16 p.m., a 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on three counts of contempt of court after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 1800 block of North Carson Street. Bail was set at $12,000.

At 8:25 p.m., a 51-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and speed after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Silver Sage and Travis. Bail was set at $1,065.

FRIDAY

At 6:17 a.m., a 58-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Winnie Lane and Lone Mountain Drive. Bail was set at $250.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
