America Where Are You
What happened to the In God We Trust
And the plea I Have A Dream
What happened to our Norman Rockwells
And our unique American scenes
What happened to the helping hands reaching
To lift others above
Where are the acts of kindness
Randomly done with love
What happened to red, white and blue
And bounty from the mountains to the sea
Thank God there’s still America
Inside both you and me
Where are those who share folks happiness
And stand with them through pain
Where are those who give their all
Not for monetary gain
Where are those who really live with love
After church is through
How bout if we start all over
Beginning with me and you
Great movements start with an idea given love
And put to motion
What happened to America
Land of the free ocean to ocean
What happened to reach out your hand
To those along the way
What happened to real honesty
With the leaders of today
What happened to the dreams we had
United through and through
