August 14, 2001 ~ November 26, 2017

On the morning of November 26, 2017 Timothy Mitchel Jones, also known as Timmy or Tim, passed away with his parents by his side at Renown Regional Medical Center. He succumbed to his injuries from a car accident on November 9, 2017. He was 16 years old.

Timothy was born in Carson City, NV on August 14, 2001 at Carson Tahoe Hospital. He was the first grandson on both sides of his family and immediately stole the hearts of everyone around him. Timothy attended school and played baseball in Silver Springs, Dayton, and Carson City. He was a part of Vacation Bible School at his Church for numerous years, both attending and volunteering his time to help run the program as Activities Director.

Timothy thrived as a student and an athlete, participating in little league being accepted to play in All Stars, Travel Ball, and Freshmen, JV, and Varsity ball at Carson High School, while maintaining his superior academic career in honors classes. He was a part of HOSA as he wanted to become an EMT, as a backup plan to being a player on the Detroit Tigers. He was one of the select few invited to go to Washington D.C. to explore our Nations Capitol, which was something Tim was very proud of.

Timothy was a friend to all and could light up a room with just his smile alone. He was loved by so many and had a strong family foundation. He was a big brother to 2 sisters and 1 brother, a cousin of many, a nephew, and a grandson.

He loved the game of baseball, being outdoors, fishing, hiking, camping, skiing, drag racing, and quoting movies off the top of his head. He had a zest for life and it radiated off of him everywhere he went. He was loving, caring, funny, smart, determined, and always stood up for what he believed in.

As we are walking through this journey we ask that everyone reflect on the amazing boy Timothy was and know that you can call yourself blessed to have been a part of his life. As a Family we are so proud of the young man he became. As we lay him to rest we will always remember his courage and fight, holding him forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, December 4th at 11 am at the Calvary Chapel Church, 1635 Clearview Dr., Carson City. Family and friends are encouraged to gather at McFadden Plaza, 310 S. Carson St., immediately following.

In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to the HOSA Scholarship Fund that has been created in Timothy’s honor.
