Nevada’s chief lobbyist in D.C. leaves Gov. Brian Sandoval’s staff

Another member of the staff of Gov. Brian Sandoval has left.

Ryan McGinness, who has been Nevada’s chief lobbyist in Washington, D.C., for nearly 12 years, has resigned to enter private practice.

McGinness will join R&R Partners, an integrated advertising, marketing, communications and public affairs firm, it was disclosed Monday. His District Strategies office has helped the governor and state offices to keep track of and fight for issues that impact Nevada

He will be replaced by Tyler Klimas, a former press secretary and legislative coordinator for the governor. He also was communications director for the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange. He has been with District Strategies since 2015.
