The Bighorns basketball team took a loss against the Virginia City Muckers on Saturday, 61-25, moving them to 1-12 as the end of the season approaches.

Virginia City took off immediately, closing the first quarter 17-8. The Muckers continued to control the court in the second, entering halftime with the score 38-15. Virginia City extended the lead in the third quater, pulling away to a 54-17 lead. The final quarter saw the Bighorns play even heat to Virginia City, outscoring them by one point for the final score.

Joel Mincer led the Bighorns with seven points while Brenden Norman-Leary followed with six. Caden Johnson, Patrick Morrow and Douglas Lee each tallied four points. Mincer and Lee each scored a three-pointer.

The Bighorns also play Gabbs today on the road. The final game of the season is Friday at 6 p.m. in Venturacci Gym against Tonopah’s Muckers.
