Easter activities, egg hunts slated in Carson City

The outdoor Easter egg hunts, held in the park at the Railroad Museum, are free and are divided by age groups on Saturday. At 11 a.m., ages 1-4 participate (one adult per child is allowed in the egg area); while children 5 and older start their egg hunt at 1 p.m.

Story time activities take place inside the Jacobsen Interpretive Center at the museum with sessions at noon and 2 p.m.

Storytime Photography will be offering printed photos with the Easter Bunny for $10.

Art activities for youngsters are available in the museum all day long.

WNC HOLDING EASTER FIESTA

Easter celebration comes a day early at Western Nevada College.

An egg scramble and a variety of other games and crafts are planned for the annual Easter Fiesta on Saturday, April 20.

Presented by the Second Year Nursing Club at WNC and National Student Nurses Association, the community is invited to join in the fun from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rotary Plaza on the Carson City campus, 2201 W. College Parkway.

Highlights include a 1 p.m. egg scramble on John L. Harvey Field and an opportunity to have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. There will also be face painting, a coloring contest, piƱatas, limbo and musical chairs. Activity tickets are $1 each and $5 for 6.

Proceeds will help pay for graduation and NSNA national convention expenses.

EASTER CANDY WALK

The Easter Candy Walk will take place from 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the Carson Mall.

The Carson Mall, 1313 S. Carson St., will host an Easter Craft and Gift Show along with the candy walk.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and will need to register. There will be bags and tickets for each store drawing.

Photos with the Easter Bunny will be available for purchase beginning at 10 a.m.

UNDERWATER EGG HUNT

The Carson City Parks and Recreation Underwater Egg Hunt will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Join Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space as they go on an egg hunt at the Carson City Aquatic Facility. Some eggs will be floating on top of the pool, some will be at the bottom of the pool. Egg hunts will be separated by age group in various pools at the Carson Aquatic Facility. The event runs from 2 to 5 p.m.

The event is free and open to children up to 12-years of age. Children 6 and under must be with a participating adult. Carson City Toyota is a sponsor for the event.

TANGLEWOOD VILLAGE

Tanglewood Village, 919 S. Roop St., will be hosting its annual Spring Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday.

There will be three age groups as follows: 0-3 years; 4-6 years; and 7 years and up.
