The Board of Examiners on Tuesday approved a $32.1 million contract to provide for construction of the National Guard Readiness Center in Las Vegas.
The project was approved by the 2017 Legislature and was awarded to Core Construction Services. The funding is 100 percent federal.
The board also approved a $45,000 increase in the contract with Gallagher and Associates for professional and design services at the Stewart Cultural Center at the southern border of Carson City.
The amendment increases the total amount of the contract to $317,000 to pay for the final digital artwork design services that will complete the project.
In addition, the board approved a $2.2 million contract with Opportunity Village to scan and index approximately 16 million historic public records.
The documents are currently in a variety of different microfilm and microfiche formats that will be converted to electronic format so they can be migrated into the new Commercial Recordings processing system within the Secretary of State’s office.
The board chaired by Gov. Steve Sisolak approved an interlocal agreement to provide radio dispatch services to U.S. Forest Service law enforcement officers and special agents allowing them to use the Wildlife Department’s radio frequencies and access to Nevada Criminal Justice Information System. The total value of the contract is $105,000.
Finally, the board approved three contracts to support the pharmaceutical assistance program known as Senior Rx that subsidizes monthly premiums for those enrolled in Medicare Part D prescription drug plans and Medicare Advantage plans.
The contracts are with Hometown Health, Silverscript Insurance and Wellcare Prescription Insurance for $169,335, $124,345 and $57,865 respectively.
