Bernie Sanders plans Carson City town hall Friday

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders plans a campaign event in Carson City on Friday.

The Democratic presidential candidate and senator from Vermont has scheduled a town hall, 3-5 p.m., on Friday at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St. Doors will open at 2 p.m., according to Sanders’ Facebook page.

The event is free and open to the public. Interested people are asked to RSVP at Sanders’ website.

Later Friday, Sanders has scheduled a “College for All Rally” in Reno.

That event, at University of Nevada, Reno’s Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center, 1664 N. Virginia St., is scheduled for 5:45-6:45 p.m.
