Ron Wood Family Resource Center is raising funds for a new mental health clinic for children.

“Local mental health services for youth and children are severely limited,” wrote Joyce Buckingham, executive director, in a letter to community partners. “With the new addition of this clinic, we will be able to provide more services for children in need.”

The organization is holding a Meet and Greet fundraiser Thursday at Greenhouse Garden Center from 5-7 p.m. There will be food, a no-host bar, silent auction, and raffle, as part of an effort to raise $30,000 to remodel a part of its Youth and Parent Center.

“Contributors donating $500 or more will have their names in a place of prominence in the new mental health clinic,” said Buckingham. “Ron Wood Family Resource Center takes pride in filling the gaps of service in our community. We feel the well-being of children is paramount to our success and our future.”

Greenhouse Garden Center is at 2450 S. Curry St. For information, call 775-884-2269.
