An adult male was killed Wednesday morning while trying to cross Carson Street at Silver Oak Drive.
He was struck by one vehicle and knocked into the path of three other vehicles that all struck him. He died at the scene. NHP Trooper Hannah DeGoey said the preliminary investigation indicates he was not in a crosswalk. She said the investigators are hoping to find surveillance video to answer some of their questions.
The crash occurred about 40 minutes before sunrise
DeGoey said all four drivers are cooperating with investigators.
The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin. DeGoey said the Nevada Highway Patrol is handling the investigation but she probably won’t have much more detail about the crash for a couple of days at least.
All southbound lanes of Carson Street have since reopened.
