‘Unwanted subject’ found in motel room with meth, Carson City Sheriff’s Office says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
APRIL 15
• At 9:46 a.m., Steven Chan, 44, was arrested at the Courtyard Marriot on Carson Street after deputies were called for an unwanted subject. Deputies had to force their way into the room, which was listed as vacant. While doing so, they heard the toilet flush several times and found a soda can in the bathroom with meth residue on it. They also found a scale and other paraphernalia in the room. He was charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia, defrauding an innkeeper, obstructing and possession of a credit card without permission of the owner. Bail was set at $8,000.
• At 3:50 p.m., Jaime and Christina Leon, both 35, were arrested on three counts of child neglect charges after a traffic stop on College Parkway. The arrest report says there were moldy food items in the vehicle along with dirty diapers, baby bottles with spoiled milk and other trash. There were children aged 2 and 7 along with a teenager in the vehicle as well. A small amount of meth was found in a cell phone case. They were charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia. Bail for each was set at $43,500.
• At 1:55 p.m., a 36-year-old Dayton man was arrested on an FTA warrant after a traffic stop for speeding in a school zone. His bail was set at $500.
APRIL 19
• At 8:14 p.m., a 40-year-old woman was taken into civil protective custody after she was found lying on a concrete patio behind a residence on Green Drive. The arrest report says she was so intoxicated she was unable to walk without falling. She was ordered held in custody until sober.
• At 8:58 p.m., a 37-year-old woman was arrested after a traffic stop at Lee and Fall for no registration on her vehicle. She was arrested on two outstanding warrants, driving on a revoked or suspended license and the registration violation. Bail was set at $8,550.
• At 9:38 p.m., a 26-year-old woman was charged with domestic battery 1st offense after deputies were called to an apartment on Pheasant Drive. The male victim said he was kicked in the face by his girlfriend during a dispute over their children. Bail was set at $3,000.

APRIL 20
• At 12:40 p.m., Thomas Lynch, 56, was arrested after deputies responded to a report of a possible altercation between two men. The deputy asked if he would consent to a search because of prior contacts involving alleged drug activity. The search found a capped needle in his jacket and a piece of paper in his wallet that contained some meth. A second needle was found in his sock. He was charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,500.
• At 6:57 p.m., a 24-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop for an expired registration at William and State streets. Bail was set at $345.
• At 9:43 p.m., a 45-year-old was arrested on multiple misdemeanor charges after deputies responded to the North Carson Street McDonalds for a report of a man yelling at customers. The arrest report says the deputy saw him grab another person by the shirt and hit another man in the face. After other customers came forward, he was charged with two counts of battery, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, provoking assault, assault and resisting arrest with violence. Bail was set at $3,500.
