April is Grange month in Fallon

On the morning of April 21, members of the High Desert Grange met with Mayor Ken Tedford as he issued a Proclamation that April is Grange month in Fallon.
On Saturday at the fairground pavilion, the High Desert Grange will have its High Rollers Jackpot beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The Proclamations lists the attributes of the Grange that makes it a valuable organization in our community, including that, “The Grange strengthens individuals, families and communities through grassroots action, service, education, advocacy and agriculture awareness … .”
High Desert Grange Vice President Taylor Reynolds accepted the proclamation, which is signed by the mayor and affixed with the seal of the City of Fallon, on behalf of the Grange.
During the meeting, the mayor presented Grange members who attended with a pen engraved with “City of Fallon.” High Desert Grange is grateful to Tedford for his recognition of this important organization in our community.
The Grange, founded in 1867, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, fraternal organization with more than 160,000 members across the United States. More than 2,100 Granges contribute millions of volunteer hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars to hometowns across America each year, as well as educating its members in various aspects of agriculture, animal husbandry, homesteading practices and more.
