Carson sheriff, Nevada agencies focus on speeding through May 10

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is Joining Forces with other Nevada law enforcement agencies to increase enforcement on speeding violations from Friday, April 30 through May 10, according to a news release from the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.
I’m late for work. I didn’t see the sign. And everyone’s all-time favorite, Do you know who I am? We have heard these excuses and many others, yet, there is no excuse for causing a crash that hurts or kills someone.
From the first of the year through today the Carson City Sheriff’s Office has issued over 2,000 citations for traffic violations and nearly half of those citations issued were for speeding. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office issues citations to these drivers because we are dedicated to bringing the number of fatalities on our roadways to zero.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office remains dedicated to bringing the number of fatalities on our roadways to zero through increasing public awareness about the dangers of speeding.
