Road report as of Thursday. The following applies to Aug. 9-15:
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
East Clearview Drive between Oak Street and Silver Sage Drive will be closed in the westbound direction Thursday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m., for work associated with a development project. Eastbound direction will remain open. JAC buses will be detoured.
Curry Street between 2nd Street and 5th Street will be closed, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., for road construction. Please plan accordingly.
Kings Canyon Road west of Longview Way will be closed, Monday-Friday, all day for roadway reconstruction. Only local residential access will be provided. The Waterfall Trailhead and parking area is also closed until further notice. Please do not come up Kings Canyon at this time. Instead, please use one of the many other wonderful open space areas in Carson City such as the Carson River area or Prison Hill.
Northridge Drive between Table Rock Drive and Ridgecrest Drive will have single lane closures with flaggers, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., for construction of a concrete barrier rail. There will be intermittent closures at the intersections of Northridge Drive at Wilma Way and at Ridgecrest Drive. Please follow detour routes and plan accordingly.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
Long line and short line striping and painting will take place citywide, Sunday-Friday, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Please use caution and do not pass painting trucks. Also, please do not drive in wet paint.
Old Clear Creek Road from South Carson Street to Vista Grande Boulevard will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Wednesday and Thursday, 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., for pavement preservation. Please use caution and follow all detour routes.
North Deer Run Road from Highway 50 to Sedge Road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Wednesday and Thursday, 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., for pavement preservation. Please use caution and follow all detour routes.
Fairview Drive between E. 5th Street and Butti Way will have shoulder work, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m., for utility construction. The multi-use path will be closed. Please use caution and follow all roadwork zone signage.
Lepire Drive between Fairview Drive and Sundance Court will be reduced to one lane, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m., for construction. Please use caution and follow all roadwork signage.
Long Street between Roop Street and Rand Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
Northridge Drive between Eastridge Drive and Carriage Crest Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m., for a roadway reconstruction project. There will be intermittent closures at the intersections of Northridge Drive and Carriage Crest Drive, Spooner Drive, and Eastridge Drive. Please use caution and follow marked detour routes.
Rand Street between William Street and Camille Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
Silver Sage Drive between Eagle Station Lane and Roventini Lane will have reduced lanes on Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m., for a construction project. Please use caution and follow all roadwork zone signage.
