5.4 earthquake reported in Wells

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck 16 miles south of Wells, Nev., at 10:21 a.m. Residents in northeastern Nevada also felt the earthquake.
On Feb. 21, 2008, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake rattled Wells, causing to damage to about 700 structures.
Wells is located 45 miles east of Elko along Interstate 80 and 60 miles west of the Nevada-Utah state line.
