Douglas County issued a mandatory evacuation order for most of its portion of Lake Tahoe at 4 p.m.
The evacuations include those places alerted on Monday night, including all of Kingsbury Grade and Stateline excluding the casinos.

The emergency alert for evacuation order is in effect for all Highway 50 between Lake Parkway and Elks Point Road, Kingsbury Grade and Highway 50 to Tramway, Casino Core not included. Residents are ordered to evacuate now using eastbound Highway 50 or Kingsbury Grade.

Evacuees are asked to not block side roads on their way out. Evacuees from South Lake Tahoe were moved to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center on Tuesday afternoon to make room for a new wave.

Members of the Citizens Emergency Response Team are at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center making sure its ready for the evacuees. Members of Douglas County Search and Rescue and Douglas County deputies are making their way through neighborhoods alerting residents that it's time to evacuate.

They are also checking to make sure they have a means to escape.
