Woman pulls trigger, no bullet in chamber, Carson City Sheriff says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless convicted in court.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 21
• At 12:09 a.m., William Hobson, 47, and Nicole Sturges, 36, were arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop on Carson Street. Dispatch reported his driver’s license was revoked and she didn’t have a license. A search before towing the vehicle found a small amount of meth and a spoon. Both were charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia. He was charged with driving on a revoked license. His bail was set at $4,000, hers was set at $3,500.
FRIDAY
• At 3:49 p.m., Caylan Harden, 25, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly pointing a firearm at the victim during an argument outside a College Parkway apartment. The arrest report says she pulled the trigger of the pistol but there was no bullet in the chamber. Bail was set at $20,000.
• At 10:21 p.m., Simon McCamy, 42, was arrested after deputies saw someone going through the trunk of a parked vehicle. The vehicle was searched after a drug dog alerted to it and deputies found meth and paraphernalia inside. He also had a Reno Justice Court warrant. Bail was set at $9,500.
SATURDAY
• At 2:04 a.m., Madelyn Wood, 33, was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop for no license plate on Highway 50. The vehicle was searched after a drug dog alerted to it and the arrest report says deputies found both meth and heroin along with paraphernalia inside. She was also charged with driving an unregistered vehicle. Bail was set at $7,025.
• At 2:46 a.m., Jose Romero-Ramirez, 23, was arrested at an apartment down the street from the sheriff’s office after a report of someone trying to break into the apartment. The arrest report says he was battering the apartment door with a fire extinguisher. He was charged with burglary. Bail was set at $20,000.
• At 4:04 p.m., Brian Bickford, 39, was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop for no front license plate. He was the passenger in the vehicle and was searched after deputies spotted a small balloon on the floorboard. The arrest report says they found a small amount of heroin and paraphernalia on his person. In addition, the driver, a 46-year-old, was arrested for driving on a suspended license and on an outstanding Douglas County warrant. Bickford’s bail was set at $3,500. The driver’s bail was set at $1,340.
SUNDAY
• At 1:19 a.m., a 45-year-old was arrested on a P&P hold at Mills Park after deputies were called to a report of a suspicious person. He was charged with violating a no-weapons provision in his release conditions for possession a small multi-tool with a 2 ½ inch knife blade on it. He was held without bail.
• At 10:59 a.m., a 67-year-old woman was charged with violating an extended protection order after deputies were called to the Courtyard on Long Street. The arrest report says others at the scene took video of her yelling at the subject of the protection order and sitting at a table nearby. Bail was set at $3,000.
• At 11:46 p.m., Robert Beltran, 27, was charged with battery with a deadly weapon after deputies were called to a residence on Tuolomne Way for an unwanted subject. The arrest report says he had been living in the trailer but was kicked out, then returned and forced his way inside using a weight-lifting bar. The arrest report says there was blood on the bar caused when he used it to attack the resident of the trailer. He was found in the bedroom under the influence of alcohol.  He was also charged with violating probation conditions and held without bail.
MONDAY
• At 11:36 a.m., a 39-year-old Silver Springs man was arrested on multiple misdemeanor charges at the 7-11 on Highway 50 after deputies were called to check on a suspicious person. He was charged with trespassing and obstructing officers for attempting to evade them. The woman with him said he left out the back door because he had outstanding warrants. He was also charged with fictitious license plates on his vehicle and held on three outstanding warrants. Total bail was set at $4,000.
• At 3:28 p.m., Richard Long, 44, was arrested outside the FISH store on Long Street on a California warrant charging assault with a deadly weapon. He was also charged with a battery that occurred the previous day. Bail was set at $26,000.
• At 7:03 p.m., a 36-year-old Reno man was charged with driving on a license revoked for DUI after a traffic stop for running a stop sign on Kings Canyon Road. Bail was set at $1,000.
TUESDAY
• At 12:28 a.m., a 24-year-old Las Vegas man was charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop on Carson Street for failure to maintain a lane. He advised he was very sleepy. Bail was set at $500.
• At 5:18 a.m., Randy Gilbertson, 31, was arrested on drug charges after deputies were dispatched to South Curry Street for a report of a man lying on the ground barking and grunting at the reporting party. The arrest report says deputies found a needle and testable amount of meth on his person. He was charged with possession. Bail was set at $2,500.
