Spring has sprung. The illusion of winter's death is over. New life is breaking ground, bursting forth, budding and blooming.
In a demonstration of beauty, spring declares that winter is not the final season. Spring always follows winter! Into every life the cold, harsh winds of winter blow, but winter cannot last. Spring and life always follow.
Winter made its strongest case on a Friday long ago. It was cloaked in darkness and in the most severe manner beat down the Lord of life. Winter appeared to have the final word... but on the first day of that week, spring came forth, full of life!
At the raising of Lazarus, Jesus declared, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?" Yes!
"The body without the spirit is dead," but "to be absent from the body is to be at home with the Lord..." in the father's house – a house of the living, a house of release, a house of reunions, a house of beauty, an eternal home where it's always spring!
