BEFORE THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF NEVADA 

Joint Application of Nevada Power Company d/b/a NV Energy and Sierra Pacific Power Company d/b/a NV Energy for approval of their Economic Recovery Transportation Electrification Plan for the period 2022-2024. 

NOTICE OF CONSUMER SESSION 

AND 

NOTICE OF HEARING 

On September 1, 2021, Nevada Power Company d/b/a NV Energy (“NPC”) and Sierra Pacific Power Company d/b/a NV Energy (“SPPC”) (collectively, “NV Energy”) filed with the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (“Commission”) a joint application, designated as Docket No. 21-09004 (“Joint Application”), for approval of an economic recovery transportation electrification plan to accelerate transportation electrification in Nevada for the period beginning January 1, 2022, and ending on December 31, 2024 (“Plan”). 

NV Energy filed the Joint Application pursuant to the Nevada Revised Statutes (“NRS”) and the Nevada Administrative Code (“NAC”) Chapters 703 and 704 and Senate Bill 448 (“SB 448”), including, but not limited to, NAC 703.530 et seq. and Section 49 of SB 448. Pursuant to NRS 703.190 and NAC 703.527 et seq., NV Energy requests that certain material in the Joint Application receive confidential treatment 

In its Joint Application, NV Energy seeks acceptance of the Plan which consists of a combined plan for the following charging infrastructure programs: Interstate Corridor Charging Depot Program; Urban Charging Depot Program; Public Agency Electric Vehicle Charging Program; Transit, School Bus, and Transportation Electrification Custom Program; and Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Program. NV Energy estimates total Plan costs to be $99,813,000. NV Energy specifically requests that the Commission: (1) accept the Plan; (2) find that the Plan satisfies the requirements of SB 448; and (3) approve the proposed tariffs and rate schedules to implement the Plan. 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Commission has scheduled a CONSUMER SESSION in this docket to be held as follows:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Commission has also scheduled a HEARING in this docket to be held as follows:
