COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Dose

Those who are eligible can now “mix and match” COVID-19 vaccine brands. This means they can receive any of the three vaccines as a booster, regardless of which brand they received for their initial series. Mixing and matching applies to booster doses ONLY, those who have initiated a Pfizer or Moderna series should complete the series with the same brand.

Those who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series are eligible for a single dose booster if they are:

  • At least 6 months from completion of previous doses
  • 65 years and older
  • Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
  • Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
  • Age 18+ who work or live in high-risk settings

Those who received the Janssen vaccine are eligible for boosters if they are:
