Video makes battery arrest easier, Carson City Sheriff says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless convicted in court.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 15
• At 3:16 p.m., a 21-year-old woman was charged with domestic battery after deputies were called to an apartment on Airport Road. A phone video showed her punching the victim and pulling her hair. Bail was set at $3,000.
• At 4:05 p.m., a 22-year-old was charged with violating suspended sentence conditions after deputies were called to a residence on Koontz for a report of a possible domestic battery. His bail was set at $1,000.
• At 4:38 p.m., a 35-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant charging contempt of court for failing to appear. Bail was set at $394.
• At 5:30 p.m., a 35-year-old was charged with intimidating a peace officer after deputies were called to an address on Richards for a report of an intoxicated man in a vehicle. He was in the passenger seat and said he was waiting for his uncle who was in a nearby doctor’s office. When deputies removed him from the vehicle at the uncle’s request, the arrest report says he threatened them and acted as though he was going to attack them physically. Bail was set at $2,500.
• At 11:21 p.m., a 58-year-old was jailed on a trespass charge after refusing to remove his vehicle from the parking lot of the 99-cent store on William Street. Bail was set at $150.
THURSDAY
• At 12:01 a.m., a 27-year-old man was arrested after a woman driver reported a man in the roadway waiving a stick at her. He was charged as a drunk pedestrian and obstructing/interfering with an officer. When told he was to be jailed for civil protective custody because of his alcohol level, he attempted to flee. Bail was set at $2,525.
• At 7:25 a.m., a 35-year-old woman was arrested at the Nugget Inn on a warrant charging trespassing with intent to commit a crime and resisting a peace officer. She was booked and released.
