Lyon County Human Services to conduct focus groups

Lyon County Human Services is conducting focus groups as a part of its 2022 needs assessment process.

The community needs assessment drives programs and services that are available and future funding opportunities. Human services is looking for community members to talk about their needs, challenges and experiences and how Lyon County can best serve them, focusing on seniors, adults needing assistance and parents and families.

Focus groups will be available at 11 a.m. Aug. 15 at the Silver Springs Senior Center, 2945 Fort Churchill St.; 2 p.m. Aug. 19 or 5 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Fernley Senior Center, 105 Lois Lane; 5:15 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Yerington Library, 20 Nevin Way; 5:30 p.m. Aug. 22 or 10:30 a.m. Aug. 23 at the Dayton Library, 321 Dayton Valley Road; 5 p.m. Sept. 1 at the Stagecoach Community Center, 8200 U.S. 50; or 10:30 a.m. 117 Tilson Way at the Yerington Senior Center, 117 Tilson Way.
