Carson City road report for August 29 to September 4, 2022

Road report as of Thursday. The following applies to Aug. 29-Sept. 4:
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
• 5th Street between Saliman Road and Warm Springs Road will have 24-hour closures in the westbound direction on Monday and Tuesday, and will be closed Wednesday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the westbound direction for utility work. 
• Overland Street between Voltaire Street and Cochise Street will be closed, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for utility work.
• Park Street between John Street and Long Street will be closed, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work.


Sewer and Water Line Replacement Closures (7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.):
• Caroline Street between Nevada Street and Mountain Street will have intermittent intersection closures Monday-Thursday. Only one intersection will be closed at a time.
• Elizabeth Street between Caroline Street and Washington Street will be closed Monday-Thursday.
• Robinson Street between Nevada Street and Mountain Street will have intermittent intersection closures Monday-Thursday. Only one intersection will be closed at a time.


Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
• Short line striping and painting will take place along Carson Street and William Street, Monday-Thursday, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Please use caution and do not pass painting trucks. Be careful of wet paint.
• Curry Street between 10th Street and just south of Lake Glen Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for pavement preservation. There will also be closures on Lake Glen Drive.
• Long Street at State Street will be flagger controlled, Wednesday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for road reconstruction.
• Rand Avenue between Long Street and William Street will have reduced lanes, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work.
• Sheep Drive between Deer Run Road and Asphalt Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for utility work.
• Silver Sage Drive between Koontz Lane and Colorado Street will have narrowed lanes, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for pavement preservation. There will also be intermittent lane shifts on Sonoma Street, Chateau Drive, and Colorado Street.
• State Street between Long Street and Handelin Road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for underground utility work.
• Stewart Street between 7th Street and Musser Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for utility work.
