Nevada Highway Patrol warns of scam calls

The Nevada Highway Patrol is warning residents of fraudulent calls from people claiming to represent the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Officials say the callers are asking for personal information.

A spokesman said NHP is not making those calls and urged people being called not to give the callers any personal information and instead to report the calls to NHP headquarters in Carson City at 775-687-5300.
