PUBLIC INFORMATION ON THE ADOPTION OF A NEW

TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP) FOR THE

CARSON AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION

(CAMPO)

CAMPO is excited to announce the release of the proposed draft Federal

Fiscal Year 2023-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP),

which amends existing projects and adds new projects consistent with

Carson Area’s Metropolitan 2050 Regional Transportation Plan. The

draft TIP document programs prioritized transportation projects which

are reasonably anticipated to be funded with federal and/or local funding.

Copies of the draft TIP are available at the Carson City Public Works

Department office located at 3505 Butti Way and on the CAMPO website

at www.carsonareampo.com.

The TIP is a four-year programming document for projects that are

federally funded and are of regional significance within the metropolitan

planning area. The minimum 14-day public comment period, for review of

the proposed TIP, opened on December 24, 2022 and closes on January

9, 2023. Staff is available Monday through Friday, regular business days,

between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to meet with the public and to answer

any questions regarding the TIP. Public comments are encouraged

during this time.
