The Nevada Department of Transportation has awarded a series of contracts including one to install electronic signage on U.S. Highway 50.
NDOT Director Kristina Swallow awarded the contract to Titan Electrical Contracting for a total of $882,104.
The company will install enhanced digital signs on the highway in Carson City and a double-sided electronic sign on U.S. 95 in Churchill County.
The company was low bidder for the project by nearly $100,000.
In addition, Swallow awarded a contract to resurface 30 miles of State Route 722 in Lander County from the Churchill County line to U.S. 50 near Austin. The “chip seal” is necessary to extend the life of the pavement surface.
The contract was awarded to Intermountain Slurry Seal for a total of$2.39 million
