Nevada will receive $25.9 million in federal funding for rural health care providers in the state.
Sen. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., said 325 providers will receive funding through the American Rescue Plan to ease the financial strain experienced in rural communities. The money will go to those who provide rural Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance and Medicare beneficiaries.
“This new funding will deliver care providers across our state and will help improve access to quality, reliable care for Nevada families living in rural areas,” Rosen said.
She said many of those providers have operated on thin margins with limited supplies and the pandemic has further exacerbated the situation.
