The Nevada Green Business Network is a part of a statewide effort to generate a green business certification program. In 2019, Western Nevada College received a grant to launch a statewide green business program and has partnered with the NV Green Business Network to provide certification to businesses that care for the environment and the health and welfare of their employees, customers, and community. NV Green Business Network has reached out to the Caron City Chamber of Commerce to invite local businesses to become a green business to increase profitability, reduce utility costs through energy and water savings and free up resources that can be invested in growth or other strategic priorities while attracting environmentally conscious clients and consumers.
