Gov. Steve Sisolak has ordered U.S. flags across the state lowered to half-staff to honor the 1 million Americans and 10,000 Nevadans who have died from COVID-19.
His executive order is in conjunction with the directions from President Biden that all federal buildings do the same.
“This historic loss of life has impacted families throughout Nevada and across the U.S.,” Sisolak said. “May we never forget the lives lost and continue to honor their memories. May we also honor the families and loved ones who have been left with a devastating loss.”
