Briefly describe the core duties of the position you are running for.
Responsibly, honestly, and dutifully serving Nevada’s Second Congressional District by leading and legislating in the best interest of Nevadans, intelligent voting, explaining votes with transparency, conducting oversight of federal agencies, and maintaining a Nevada-first constituent services operation.

A brief statement about your platform:
I’m proud to call Nevada my home, and I am committed to improving the lives of my constituents by solving issues the old-fashioned way – listening to the concerns of the Nevadans I serve, keeping an open dialogue, and always explaining why I voted the way I did. Thank you for trusting me to bring your voice to Congress. We’ve accomplished so much, and together, I’m confident we can continue making a difference for the Silver State. I would be honored if you choose to send me back to Washington for another two years. I will keep up the fight against the far-Left, progressive, woke, job-killing, Green New Deal, liberal policies that will devastate the economy and Nevada families, and I will continue to put forward legislation and sound policy solutions that will protect life, preserve the right to keep and bear arms, prioritize veterans’ needs, secure the border, ensure American energy independence, save the mining and agriculture industries from woke environmental policies, grow Nevada businesses, encourage innovation in the private sector, and keep more money in the pockets of hardworking Nevadans.

What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position:
As a lifelong Nevadan, former Army officer, and former state legislator who has dedicated more than two decades to public service, I understand the unique needs of Nevada’s Second District, and will always do right by our state and for the hardworking folks I’ve been fortunate enough to serve in Congress.
Some of my key work for Nevada includes:
Voting consistently to cut taxes on American families and small businesses.
Opposing policies that have driven inflation, resulting in sky-rocketing costs for basic goods and at the pump.
Supporting keeping the federal government out of decision-making that should be done on the local level and in households.
Supporting police officers and first responders as they work to reduce crime and keep communities safe.
Successfully influencing the Small Business Administration to repeal its prohibition on small gaming businesses to have access to the Paycheck Protection Program at the height of COVID-19 shutdowns, saving thousands of Nevada jobs in a time of unprecedented economic uncertainty.
Using my position as a member of the House Appropriations Committee to conduct oversight of federal agencies and fighting for Nevada’s state, local, and municipal infrastructure projects to receive adequate federal funding in a time of tremendous growth.
Passing several pieces of legislation on various issues, from county and tribal lands bills, to getting the Vietnam Helicopter Pilot and Crew Member Monument installed at Arlington National Cemetery.
Providing a Nevada-first constituent services operation on issues ranging from getting over $20 million in benefits withheld by the federal government returned to constituents, aiding in evacuation of American allies from Afghanistan, and assisting veterans in receiving rightfully-earned treatments through the VA, to name a few.
Receiving Veterans in Politics International’s endorsement with a strong record prioritizing veterans.
Receiving National Right to Life Committee’s endorsement with a 100% pro-life voting record.

Record of service:
I joined the Army is 1981, earned my Army Airborne Wing in 1982 in Fort Benning, Georgia. Served most of my tour of duty in Baumholder, Germany.
Growing up I would watch the Harlem Globetrotters every chance I could,.I made the Women's Army Basketball team in Baumholder and the Harlem Globetrotters came to Baumholder to play the women's basketball team. I was actually on the floor, only for a few minutes, but one of the highs of my life I was on the floor playing basketball with the Harlem Globetrotters!
Briefly describe the core duties of the position you are running for.
Five of the core duties for Congress include; lawmaking, representing the people, performing oversight, helping constituents, and educating the public.

A brief statement about your platform:
My platform is for "Accountability,” when an individual does something wrong, illegal, ect. there needs to be consequences for the act and the individual needs to be held accountable for their actions. The punishment needs to fit the crime. Laws in our country include Elderly Abuse and Exploitation, Child Abuse and Exploitation, human trafficing especially with open borders. At the highest level of our government there is presently an Elderly, emotional, psychological, and exploitation case!! We have laws written in place for just this situation.

What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?
What makes me the most qualified candidate for this position; I have compassion for the people!! I have compassion for the citizens in our beautiful state of Nevada and in our beautiful country. We have presently a whole congress full of individuals that I believe truly dislike this country and who has greatly profited off of the good hearted citizens in this county.

Danny Tarkanian

Record of service
Douglas County Commissioner
Danny Tarkanian was elected to the Douglas County Commission in 2020. Since that time, he has been a voice for the people who had no voice in what was happening in the County. He has stood up to special interest groups and powerful lobbyist to protect the interests of his constituents.
Fatherless Boys Program
Danny was a board member for the Fatherless Boys Program in Las Vegas before moving to Gardnerville. The program used adult men to mentor young boys who did not have fathers of their own.
Tarkanian Basketball Academy (TBA)
Danny is the Founder and President of the Tarkanian Basketball Academy. This program teaches at-risk children the life lessons they learn thru playing sports, such as work ethic, how to handle adversity, how to work together to achieve best results, and to win with class and lose with dignity. TBA was founded in 2002 and is still active. This organization has also donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to other charities throughout the years.

Education
Danny Tarkanian attended Dixie Junior College in 1980 and was named Male Student of the Year. He attended UNLV from 1981-84 and graduated with high honors and was named the school’s first two-time Academic All-American. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He attended the University of San Diego School of Law from 1985-88, graduating 3rd in his class, Magnum Cum Laude and being named to the school’s Law Review.

Briefly describe the core duties of the position you are running for.
The core duties are simple, serving our Constitution. I will stay true to our founding values, principles, constitutional provisions, and uphold our liberties. While keeping our Constitution in mind, I’ll defend the conservative values and interests of my district, and introduce, vote, and pass conservative legislation.

A brief statement about your platform
My platform consists of: a restoration of common-sense conservatism in this district and in this country, upholding traditional family values, restoring fiscal responsibility, securing the border, re-funding the police, building the wall, enacting reforms to restore election integrity, stopping the reckless spending, and stand for the Pro-Life community, protect free speech, end the war on our treasured Second Amendment, enact VA reforms to better serve our veterans, support Americans in need before foreign aid and other non-American expenditures, lower taxes, shrink government, cut red-tape business regulations, restore American energy independence, embolden American industries, support our troops and end pointless wars, reform big-tech, prevent the unconstitutional shutdowns and mandates of 2020, and expose the DC establishment’s effort to not serve the people. This platform reflects the views and wants of everyday Americans, specifically Nevadans. We need fewer politicians who say want you want them to do but never do it, and more politicians who fight for your best interests and stand up against the powerful DC special interests. That’s what I’m prepared to do, and that’s what I’m going to do.

What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?
Nevada has only one safe Republican seat and it is CD2. Its residents deserve a representative who will vote for the conservative values they care about most.
They deserve a representative who will vote against providing citizenship to illegal immigrants, against providing millions of your dollars to Planned Parenthood, against bloated wasteful budgets that cause painful inflation, and who will stand up, fight, and defend with every ounce of energy our personal freedoms and liberties, and stop such lunacy as COVID vaccine mandates, the forced masking of our children, the indoctrination of our children with CRT, defunding our police, designating parents as domestic terrorists for speaking up at school board meetings, and the elimination of safeguards to fair elections.
They deserve a representative who believes Americans and American businesses should be taken care of first and foremost. That American servicemen and women should be provided with everything they need before a penny is spent on a person entering our country illegally. That America should never go to war and put our sons and daughters in harm’s way unless it is to defend the imminent safety and preservation of our country, not to preserve some world order.
For the past 11 years, this representation has been missing from Congressional District 2.
I will be this leader. I have strong conservative convictions. I have always been a fighter, willing to stand up to powerful special interest groups, at personal peril, and do what is right. That is what public service is all about. It is being a voice for the downtrodden, the weary, the powerless, and give these people the same opportunity as the powerful and rich. Too many politicians forget this or never understood it. I was raised to be a fighter and help those who need help the most.
