The Nevada State Police is seeking information on a fatal automobile crash on Oct. 23.
The Nevada State Police is still investigating the cause of a fatal automobile crash that occurred on South Downs Lane and U.S. Highway 50 on Oct. 23.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2007 Crane Well Driller driven by Jesus Agustin Mariezcurrena was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 at about 3:06 p.m.
A 2005 Volvo S60 was being driven by Jessica Gomez, 42, when the left front tire failed on the commercial motor vehicle. Mariezcurrena could not maintain control of his vehicle and entered the westbound path of the Volvo. Gomez was pronounced dead on the scene, and Mariezcurrena was not injured.
This crash is being investigated by Northern Command West MIRT. If anyone has any information about this crash, send an email to sjvaldez@dps.state.nv.us and reference the case number.
