Road report as of Thursday. The following applies to Oct. 2-9:
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
Challenger Way between College Parkway and Hot Springs Road will be closed, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work.
Overland Street between Voltaire Street and Cochise Street will be closed, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for utility work.
Park Street between John Street and Long Street will be closed, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
Beginning Oct. 10, U.S. 50 between Lompa Lane and Airport Road will have lane and shoulder closures in the eastbound direction, Monday-Friday, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for roadway and sidewalk reconstruction. Work zone speed limits will be reduced to 35 mph, and drivers should expect minor delays. Pedestrians must use existing crosswalks to detour to the north side of the street.
I-580 will have closures in both directions, Sunday, 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Both directions will be closed periodically for up to 20 minutes between Arrowhead Drive and Eastlake Boulevard (Exit 10) in Washoe Valley for powerline improvements.
The following streets will have narrowed lanes and shoulder work between Nevada Street and Mountain Street, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Caroline Street, Robinson Street, Spear Street and Telegraph Street.
California Street between Industrial Way and Fairview Drive will have shoulder work, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work.
Carson Street at Clearview Drive will have shoulder work, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for signal repairs.
Clearview Drive at Carson Street will have lane reductions, Tuesday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for signal repairs.
Colorado Street between Carson Street and Idaho Street will have shoulder work, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work.
Curry Street between 5th Street and Musser Street will have narrowed lanes, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway improvements.
Edmonds Drive between Lompa Lane and Fairview Drive will have shoulder work, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work.
Fairview Drive between Carson Street and Edmonds Drive will have shoulder work, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work.
5th Street between Saliman Road and Warm Springs Road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for utility work.
Forrest Way between Goni Drive and the cul-de-sac will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work.
Lompa Lane between Fairview Drive and Edmonds Drive will have shoulder work, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work.
Mountain Street between Long Street and Fleischmann Way will have shoulder work, Monday-Friday, 24 hours a day for utility work.
Sheep Drive between Deer Run Road and Asphalt Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for utility work.
Stewart Street between 7th Street and Musser Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for utility work.
