Running a business, large or small, has always been tough, but many business owners say that recent years have been especially hard. Members of the Rotary Club of Carson City, as well as interested members of the public, can learn about the challenges businesses face and how to manage them at the next club meeting.

Gary Dodge will lead the presentation ‘How can I keep up? The Changing Landscape in Business’. Over the past 30 years Dodge has worked in global business in Canada, Africa and the United States. He is currently a Director and Client Relationship Executive with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

“Businesses are facing some unique challenges that they haven’t seen before,” Dodge says. “For example, Cybersecurity threats are real. Workforces are changing – whether through the “Great Resignation” or through the introduction of “digital workforces”. ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) in business is here to stay. Business leaders need to make sure they have the knowledge and network they need to be able to keep up and continue to create competitive advantage.

The meeting takes place Tuesday, Oct.18, at noon in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom. Anyone interested in attending should email carsoncitynvrotary@gmail.com.
