Carson City road report for October 24 to 30, 2022

Road Report as of Oct. 20. The following information applies to the period of Oct. 24 – Oct. 30:

Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:

• Challenger Way between College Parkway and Hot Springs Road will be closed, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work.

• Overland Street between Voltaire Street and Cochise Street will be closed, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for utility work.

• Park Street between John Street and Long Street will be closed, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work.

Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:

• US 50 between Russell Way and Airport Road will have lane and shoulder closures in the eastbound direction, Monday – Friday, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for roadway and sidewalk reconstruction. Work zone speed limits will be reduced to 35 miles per hour, and drivers should expect minor delays. Pedestrians must use existing crosswalks to detour to the north side of the street.

• The following streets will have narrowed lanes and shoulder work between Nevada Street and Mountain Street, Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Caroline Street, Robinson Street, Spear Street and Telegraph Street.

• Carson Street at Clearview Drive will have shoulder work, Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for signal repairs.

• Clearview Drive at Carson Street will have lane reductions, Tuesday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for signal repairs.

• Clearview Drive between Silver Sage Edmonds Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for roadway improvements.

• Curry Street between 5th Street and Musser Street will have narrowed lanes, Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway improvements.

• 5th Street between Saliman Road and Warm Springs Road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for utility work.

• Northgate Lane between Nye Lane and Hot Springs Road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work.

• Robinson Street at Division Street will be flagger-controlled, Monday – Tuesday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction.

• Sheep Drive between Deer Run Road and Asphalt Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for utility work.

• Silver Sage Drive between Koontz Lane and Clearview Drive will have reduced lanes with flaggers, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work.

•  Stewart Street between 7th Street and Musser Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for utility work.
