Gov. Steve Sisolak has named Asheesh Bhalla the first director of Nevada’s Infrastructure Bank.
Bhalla is currently a deputy attorney general for the state of Nevada and a former corporate defense attorney.
Sisolak credited the state Treasurer’ s office for the work done to get the Infrastructure Bank up and running and ready to invest in affordable housing, education and more.
The Legislature and the governor agreed to pump $75 million into the Infrastructure Bank to get it going.
The bank is already accepting applications for qualified infrastructure projects.
