 The Senator volleyball team had little trouble with Reed on Tuesday in Carson, winning 25-11, 25-11 and 25-22.
Freshman Abigail Franco and junior Sarah Miller led the way with nine kills each for the Senators.
Miller had a team-high four aces while junior Madelyn Monson posted three.
Sophomore Ava Kordonowy led the team in digs with 13 while Monson posted a team-best 21 assists.
UP NEXT: Carson (9-5, 2-3 in league) will host McQueen (1-7, 0-5) Wednesday before traveling to Minden to take on Douglas.


Senator boys tennis bests Damonte Ranch, falls to Spanish Springs
The Carson High boys tennis team picked up its first team win of the season, 10-8 against Damonte Ranch, on Tuesday.
Dante Whatley put together wins on the singles court of 6-1 and 6-0 while Zachery Laaker added another by a final of 6-3.
Where the Senators’ did real damage was in doubles.
Tyler Palmer and Zachary Guthrie didn’t drop a set against the Mustangs, winning all three by finals of 6-2, 6-1, 6-1.
Yakov Glenn and Nolan Pedersen had two wins at 6-0 and 6-3 while the pairing of Dylan Olson and Jacob Budd added two wins.
Thursday afternoon against Spanish Springs, it was once again Carson’s doubles teams that lead the way in an 11-7 loss.
Thomas Palmer and Zachary Guthrie picked up two wins while Tyler Palmer and Guthrie added a third.
Glenn and Pedersen put together two more wins on the doubles court, 6-4 and 6-1.
Jacob Budd and Dylan Olson tacked on the final point with a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles.
