Proseso Torres, a 68 year-old from Carson City, was identified as the man killed during a March 2 crash as Highway 50 and Nye Lane.
The Nevada State Police said the crash occurred at 6:17 p.m., when Torres was trying to cross Highway 50 southbound from Nye Lane. He was not in a crosswalk.
Torres was hit by a silver Ford Explorer, traveling eastbound on Highway 50 approaching Nye Lane.
Torres was in the travel lane when he was struck by the silver Ford Explorer. Torres died on scene, the State Police said Friday in a press release.
Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Northern Command West M.I.R.T (Multidisciplinary Investigation & Reconstruction Team) is investigating this crash.
This marks the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol – Northern Command West 6th fatal crash and 6th fatality for 2023.
