Man arrested in connection with Dayton daycare robbery

On Feb. 13, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a local daycare center in the Dayton area for the report of a burglary. The burglary occurred over the weekend when the business was closed. The suspect entered the building and stole several items from the business.

During the burglary investigation, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Deputies identified the suspect as William Zamora. On Feb. 16, at 3 p.m., deputies located and arrested Zamora. 

A search warrant was then conducted on Zamora’s residence and some of the stolen property was located and returned to the business.

Zamora was booked into the Lyon County Jail on suspicion of two counts of commercial burglary and a violation of parole and probation.
