Eric Ode, a national award-winning children's singer/songwriter, author and poet is coming to Fallon.

Ode will be at the Fallon Convention Center on March 8 at 6 p.m. The performance is free.

Ode also will be presenting to elementary students at Oasis Academy and Ivy Land as part of Read Across America Week. His high-participation programs are bubbling over with fun, interactive music and include stories, skits, poetry, props and puppets.

He is a former elementary classroom and middle school English teacher with a master’s degree in educational technology. Ode has been invited to share his music and poetry programs with schools, community festivals, libraries, and churches throughout the United States, in Germany, Japan, and in Guam. His original music has been heard on children's radio programs across the country, on many compilation albums, and on the popular PBS series Dragonfly TV.

Ode has been recognized with six Parents' Choice Awards, two National Parenting Publications Honors Awards, a Telly Bronze Award, and a KIDS FIRST! All Star Endorsement.

This event is sponsored by Liberty Brown, a local PaperPie (formerly known as Usborne Books & More) Educational Services Representative. This is a not-for-profit event, though autographed copies of some of his books are available for purchase at https://authorpreorder.cheddarup.com.

Funds received will go toward offsetting the costs of bringing Ode to the community.
