Fallon finished in the top 10 in a pair of weekend track and field meets.
In Friday’s Fernley Invitational, the girls team tied for fifth with 32 points after Fernley won with 195. Fernley also won the boys division with 193 points while Fallon had 24 to finish eighth.
The following day at the Silver Talon Classic at Hug, Fallon’s boys finished sixth with 40 points as McQueen won with 145 points. Fallon finished eighth with 11 points in the girls division after Reno won with 189.
The following are top 10 finishes and personal bests from the Greenwave competing in the Fernley and Hug meets.
SPRINTS
Fernley: In the boys division, Ashton McCourtney ran a personal-best 13.5 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 27.35 in the 200. Wyatt Dixon finished fifth in 55.82 and William James Lofthouse finished eighth in 56.23 in the 400. Both times were personal bests along with Aric McBride, who ran a 1:07.67.
In the girls division, McKenzee Peterson finished eighth in the 100 in 14:48 and fourth in the 200 in 30.55. Analiese Sorensen and Arabella Berry finished 15.35 and 15.49 in the 100. Taylor Perry finished third in the 200 in 30.53 and Sorensen ran the race in 34.42. Fitzer finished third in the 400 in 1:09.84, Berry took seventh in 1:15.3 and Perry was ninth in 1:16.99. Sorensen finished the race in 1:22.96.
Silver Talon: In the boys division, Dixon led the team in the 100 at 12 seconds followed by Arad Duenas, 12.19; Justin McArthur, 12.50; and Jaeshon Pearson, 12.54. In the 200, Duenas ran it in 24.93 followed by McArthur at 25.67.
In the girls division, Fitzer and Lillian Souza ran times of 30.39 and 30.40.
DISTANCE
Fernley: In the boys division, Alex Sorensen ran a 5:38.78 in the 1600 and 12:22.29 in the 3200.
In the girls division, Melody Garcia-Bishop finished ninth in the 800 in 3:27.75 and eighth in the 1600 in 7:37.96. Peterson was fourth in the 1600 at 6:36.88.
Silver Talon: In the boys division, Lofthouse finished eighth in the 800 in 2:11.71. Uriel Romero-Montes, Jarret Ugalde Torres and Evan Garcia-Jurado ran the 1600 in 5:16.41, 5:16.54 and 5:25.56.
HURDLES
Fernley: In the boys division, Vernon Harper finished seventh in both the 110 and 300 hurdles in 20.94 and 51.74.
Silver Talon: In the girls division, Fitzer finished 10th in 53.62.
RELAYS
Fernley: In the boys division, the 4x800 team of Rodrigo De Santiago Tapia, Zander Lewis, Angel Quezada and Lars Rasmussen finished second in 9:51.
In the girls division, the 4x800 team of Perry, Fitzer, Rebekah Knight and Hannah Hanks finished third in 12:18.88.
Silver Talon: In the boys division, the 4x800 team of Garcia-Jurado, Romero-Montes, Leojro Chavez and Lofthouse finished third in 8:53.91. The 4x100 team of Duenas, Dixon, Nathaniel Bianchi and Bransyn Wright finished fifth in 45.82. The 4x400 team of Dixon, Garcia-Jurado, Lofthouse and Wright was eighth in 3:52.
In the girls division, the 4x200 team of Karmen Alcantar, Peterson, Souza and Fitzer finished seventh in 1:59.94.
THROWS
Fernley: In the girls division, Kandice Mineard-Bobb threw 17 feet. Hanks led the team in the discus with a throw of 67-3 followed by Barber, 63-8, and Mineard-Bobb, 49-5.
Silver Talon: In the boys division, Joseph Romero finished third in the shot put at 42-4.25 and Bill Peterson threw 20-0.75. Romero took second in the discus at 138-6.
In the girls division, Katelyn Glinka finished eighth in the discus at 80-10 and ninth in the shot put at 26-4.
JUMPS
Fernley: In the boys division, Harper finished ninth in the high jump at 5 feet. Tejae Edie, Kenyon Wilson and Alex Bacallo jumped 16, 15-10.5 and 13-2 in the long jump. Edie jumped 31-7.5 in the triple jump.
Silver Talon: In the boys division, Wright won the high jump at 6-4, and Kenyon Wilson was 14th in the triple jump at 35-10.
In the girls division, Peterson finished sixth in the high jump at 4-6.
POLE VAULT
Fernley: In the boys division, Rasmussen and Edie tied for ninth at 7-6.
Silver Talon: In the girls division, Peterson finished fifth at 7-6.
